Ottolenghi recipes to wake up your menu plan
Yotam Ottolenghi is the Israeli-British chef who made Middle Eastern flavors a must-have in modern kitchens. His recipes are all about big, bold flavors ~ with spices like sumac and zaโatar, loads of fresh herbs, and veggies that steal the show. Think creamy tahini drizzles, perfectly roasted eggplant, and slow-cooked meats packed with warmth and depth. If youโre into colorful, flavor-packed food, Ottolenghi is your guy.
Ottolenghi has been an inspiration to me since the earliest days of this site. When I feel like I’m in a cooking rut I ALWAYS turn to him. All I have to do is flip through any one of his many cookbooks to find something exciting to make. Here are just a few examples of his amazing creativity.

Ottolenghiโs Cauliflower cake! OMG! Made it the other day and I swear it changed my life ๐
I haven’t tried that one yet, it’s on my (very long) list ๐
Just made that this week, my mother loved it, too, and insisted I make sure my sister had the recipe as well!
Absolutely lovely round up! I love Yotam’s food. It’s a good thing I live a 2 hour train ride from London, otherwise I’d be there everyday!
Hi Sue,
I’v been off line for about 1-1/2 months. Now I can’t get to your recipes. There are so many ads on this site that I can’t control them. I’m surprised that I can even type this to you. I’m sad about this, I love your stuff!
Sincerely,
Joyce gibson
Hey Joyce, I appreciate your taking the time to let me know how you feel. I’m not sure most readers think about the fact that we bloggers work such long hours (I’m at the grocery store, in the kitchen, behind my camera, or at my desk 15 hours a day, and I don’t get a salary ๐ So these ads are really the main source of income for me, and I do try to keep them under control, but it’s not easy. I keep tweaking the settings to see if I can strike a balance. Is there a particular type that annoys you? I might be able to try to work with that. And believe me, I know how you feel, I’ve been there on other sites and felt the same thing!
Oh Sue! Not only you are a great cook, you also have the charisma to bring up other people’s work and have us enjoy that, too! What a woman!
Thanks Alexandra <3
