What to Plan Now: Thanksgiving Pies

What to Plan Now: Thanksgiving Pies ~ here’s what I consider to be the best Thanksgiving pies for you to drool and dream over…but don’t dream too long, because time flies during the holiday season, and Thanksgiving is just a blink away.

In your heart of hearts you know it, even as you pull that big golden bird out of the oven on Thanksgiving day, everybody’s eyes are going to be squarely planted on your dessert table.  It’s just human nature, and so you need to make sure all your bases are covered.  I’ve got lots of pumpkin, of course, and pecan, but there’s other wonderful inspiration here too, so let’s get to it ~

CHOCOLATE FUDGE PECAN PIE ~ Love & Olive Oil | Because…chocolate.

DARK CHOCOLATE PUMPKIN TART ~ The Bakermama | The irresistibility of pumpkin combined with chocolate is well documented, everyone will go for this pie first.

TIRAMISU PIE ~ A Cozy Kitchen | A creamy pie that only requires 10 minutes of oven time, and you’ll get bonus points for creativity.

MAPLE SWEET POTATO PIE  ~ Style Sweet CA | This gorgeous marshmallow topped pie takes its cue from everybody’s favorite side dish.

CARAMEL APPLE PIE ~ Saving Room for Dessert | Everyone’s expecting an apple pie, but they won’t expect this!

MAPLE CHIFFON PIE ~ Spoon Fork Bacon | This unusual pie is totally on point for Thanksgiving, maple is such a wonderful flavor.

CLASSIC PUMPKIN PIE ~ Foodness Gracious | Tradition is everything during the holidays and you have to make a pumpkin pie, so make it right!

CREAMY COCONUT PIE  ~ Deborah Haroun | Some people are just gonna want something fluffy after a big meal, and this creamy coconut pie fits the bill.

BLACK BOTTOM BOURBON PECAN PIE ~ The View from Great Island | If you’re looking for dessert table drama, you’ve found it.

BRULEED PUMPKIN PIE ~ A Cozy Kitchen | The answer to those who claim that pumpkin pie is boring!

MAPLE NUT PIE ~ Tastes of Lizzy T | Maple walnut is one of my favorite flavor combos, I think I’d hit this pie up first.

PUMPKIN PIE BARS ~ Real Food by Dad | Because some people just want to eat with their fingers…

PEAR GALETTE ~ @ONE_OPEN_WINDOW | This one is so pretty, and it looks much harder than it actually is.

PUMPKIN PIE WITH PECANS ~ Mrs. Flury | A rustic kill-two-Thanksgiving-must-haves-with-one-stone pie.

CHOCOLATE PUDDING PIE (VEGAN & GF) ~ Emilie Eats | Cover all the special diets around your table in one fell swoop with this decadent pie.

CRANBERRY PIE WITH GINGERSNAP CRUST ~ The View from Great Island | This silky cranberry curd in a spicy crumb crust will draw people like flies.

BROWN BUTTER & MAPLE CARAMEL APPLE PIE ~ Kitchen Mccabe | Even without the fancy crust work, this refined sugar free pie is a winner.

EGGNOG CHIFFON PIE ~ Eating Clean with a Dirty Mind | For those who just can’t eat another bite…they’ll find room for this.

BLUSHING PEAR PIE ~ Bake from Scratch | I can’t wait to make this!

BOURBON PUMPKIN PIE ~ Gimme Some Oven | A new classic is born.

GLUTEN FREE VEGAN APPLE TART ~ Sarah Bakes Gluten Free | If you can peel and slice apples you can make this pretty pie.

VODKA PIE CRUST ~ Judy Kim | You have to make crust anyway, so why not make FABULOUS crust?

PUMPKIN PRALINE PIE ~ Spend with Pennies | Pumpkin pie is all well and good, but when you add a praline streusel you automatically up your dessert cred by a mile.

SUGAR CREAM PIE ~ Averie Cooks | Who could possibly not have room in their tummy for this?

SWEET POTATO CHESS PIE ~ Grand Baby Cakes | This is a true Southern classic from a true Southern belle!

CREAMY NO BAKE PUMPKIN PIE ~ Minamalist Baker | Every host needs a few great no-bake recipes up their sleeve during the holidays.

BOURBON TOLLHOUSE PIE ~ Talia Bunting | I don’t know about you, but I think, Tollhouse pie might be the best dessert ever invented…add a splash of bourbon and I’m just not responsible for my actions.

TURKEY CRUST PUMPKIN PIE ~ Kudos Kitchen  | This is too cute not to try, and Renee takes you through the easy process step by step!
