Boursin Butter will transform corn on the cob, hot biscuits, baked potatoes, steamed green beans, or, come to think of it…just about anything!

I’m still reeling from my first taste of this Boursin butter on a hot ear of perfect summer corn. Rich, buttery, herby, and cheesy in the best way. If you love unique corn on the cob experiences, this is for you. And best of all it takes just 2 ingredients to whip this up. Simple but super impactful. Life is good!

what’s Boursin butter like?
Boursin butter is made with a package of Boursin garlic and herb cheese spread blended with a softened stick of salted butter. The result is a soft and slightly crumbly spread ready to melt into your favorite veggie or warm bread.
Use it just like butter, but the garlicky herb cheese adds tons more flavor. Trust me, you’re gonna like love it.

I use my small food processor, the same one I use for salad dressings and small batches of pesto. it’s the perfect size for this job and blends the Boursin and butter in no time. If you love to do things the hard way you can do it with a bowl and a wooden spoon.

how I use Boursin butter
The first thing I did after I made my first batch was to slather it on a piping hot ear of corn. Even as it melts it lays on the corn thicker than regular butter. And the herby flavor with the hint of garlic is so unexpected on corn. It was magic.
But I knew at first taste that this idea has legs…
- Melted into baked potatoes or mashed potatoes.
- Slathered on biscuits of all kinds, either plain, cornmeal biscuits, or flavored, like rosemary biscuits.
- Topping veggies like green beans, asparagus, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, or cauliflower for starters.
- Stirred into scrambled eggs.
- Tossed into hot pasta!

Boursin Butter
Equipment
- mini food processor optional, this is the one I use.
Ingredients
- 5.3 ounces Boursin Cheese (one package)
- 1/2 cup salted butter, soft
Instructions
- Note: I do this in my small food processor which makes it quick and easy. You can also use a bowl and a spoon, but make sure your butter is truly soft.
- Break apart the Boursin cheese and add to your small food processor. Add the butter, also cut into chunks. This helps the machine blend the two ingredients quicker and easier, without the need to over-blend.
- Process until the mixture is well blended. I stop the machine to redistribute and scrape down a couple of times. The Boursin butter will be soft and have a large moist crumble texture.
- Transfer the Boursin butter to a small jar or jars. You can use right away, or refrigerate for later. Your butter will be spreadable straight from the fridge, but if you like it even softer you can leave it out on the counter for a bit before using.
- Keep leftover Boursin butter chilled. The butter will last up to a week in the refrigerator, and can be frozen for up to 3 months.

Can unsalted butter be used? As I find Boursin comes across very salty for my taste.
Yes, definitely!
Love your creativity and I love Boursin , great idea!!
