This Fresh Grapefruit Mojito is a refreshing cocktail for a hot night…if you’ve got fresh mint from the garden, so much the better!
Looking for a refreshing twist on the classic mojito? My grapefruit mojito recipe infuses the citrusy tang of pink grapefruit with cool mint and a hint of sweetness for a delightful summer drink. It’s perfect for enjoying on a warm patio or unwinding after a long day.
I love to use spearmint from my herb garden for a brighter flavor compared to peppermint. But feel free to experiment with whichever mint you prefer!
- Spearmint has a subtler, sweeter flavor often described as refreshing.
- Peppermint packs a stronger punch with a pronounced minty taste and a cooling sensation due to a higher menthol content. It can have a subtle peppery kick.
The combination of pink grapefruit juice, lime, and rum creates a perfectly balanced and flavorful base, while the sparkling water adds a touch of fizz and keeps things light. So grab your favorite glass and whip up this delicious pink grapefruit mojito – it’s sure to become your new go-to summer cocktail!

Fresh Grapefruit Mojito
Ingredients
- 1 handful fresh mint leaves, spearmint is best.
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh pink grapefruit juice, about 1/2 a grapefruit.
- juice of 1 lime
- 2 shots light rum, about 3 ounces.
- 1 tsp Rose’s Lime Juice, more or less to taste
- scoop of ice
- Pellegrino or other sparkling water
Instructions
- You can do this in a cocktail mixer if you want, but I do it right in the glass. Put the mint leaves in the bottom of a tall glass along with the sugar and smash them a bit with the back of a spoon. If you have a muddler, use it.
- Add the grapefruit juice, fresh lime, rum, Rose's, along with the ice. Stir gently.
- Fill the rest of the glass with sparkling water.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and more mint leaves.
- Be sure to taste your drink and adjust it to suit you!
