Jello is a fun summertime treat, and it’s been delighting kids of all ages for generations. But lots of kids today miss out because their (wise) parents steer clear of the artificial colors, flavors, and unpronounceable ingredients that come along with the stuff in the box. I’m taking back the classic dessert by making a healthy homemade ‘Jello’ from scratch in my own kitchen. I make mine with fruit juice, and I don’t even need to add sugar. It’s cool, jiggly, and totally healthy! I’m blogging from Super Healthy Kids today so hop on over for the full story!
What a neat idea! I would love some too.
I know my grandsons would love these! Now to find some good, healthy fruit juice!
I love homemade jello, it tastes so much better than the box stuff! Gorgeous color too!
Hi Sue, you are so talented, my granddaughter is coming to visit and I know her parents would appreciate this fruit juice jello.
This is a fabulous idea, Sue! Pinned!
I love the natural fruit flavor and color! I know I’d be tempted to bring out my star cookie cutters for festive cut-outs ;).
That would be great, the extra gelatin in this recipe makes them perfect for cut-outs.
This is the coolest recipe ever! I can’t believe you make your own jello – amazing. I will have to try this out on my grandson ๐ Thanks Sue! Pinning and sharing ๐
He’ll love it Tricia – let him pick out his favorite juice!
I will confess, I kind of love jello. I rarely eat it, usually when I’ve bought it for my kids after a stomach flu or something, but the texture and fruity flavor are so great! I love your approach and will zip over to check it out now!
The texture is amazing, and when you’re sick, nothing can beat it!
Such a great idea! I know my little ones will go crazy over tis and their moms will love me!
I was surprised at how much natural fruit flavor these had, there are some really great new all-natural fruit juices out there — it’s a mom’s dream!
