my collection of go-to Thanksgiving cocktail recipes
I love to start off the holiday with a house cocktail offered to each guest as they walk in the door, it’s a nice tradition and sets a festive tone for the rest of the day. You can do the same one every year and really cement the tradition, or surprise people with a new one every year. Here are my fave Thanksgiving cocktails ~
The Frozen Turkey
Of course everybody will have to wait until dessert to get their Frozen Turkeys, but these adult cocktail milkshakes are the perfect way to cap off an epic meal.

Mezcal Cider Cocktail
A Thanksgiving batch cocktail made with smokey mezcal, apple cider, and spiced maple syrupย to get the party started.

Cinnamon Maple Whiskey Sour
~ Cookie & Kate
Everybody will get warm and cozy asap with this earthy fall cocktail.

Crock Pot Mulled Wine
Fill the slow cooker with everything about an hour before people arrive and not only will you have drinks ready and waiting, your house will smell amazing! This is my signature Thanksgiving cocktail!

The Cranberry Bog
This fun drink can be made in a punchbowl so people can serve themselves. Be sure to float a few cranberries on top for the true ‘bog’ effect ๐

The Boulevardier Cocktail
Sometimes only a classic will do, and this cousin of the Negroni with only 3 ingredients is easy to make and has a wonderfully complex flavor.

Pomegranate Mulled Cider
A Thanksgiving cocktail minus the booze ~ I love to set this out in a big pot on the stove and let guests serve themselves.

Pomegranate Flip
~ Macheesmo
This elegant cocktail is a real stunner. Buy pasteurized eggs (right there with the regular eggs) if you’re concerned about using the raw egg white.

Irish Coffee
Irish coffee is the ultimate warming cocktail, and the perfect way to cap off a great meal.

Pumpkin Spice Liqueur
This ultra rich pumpkin cream liqueur is wonderful to sip after dinner, it’s like pumpkin pie in a glass!

George Washingtonโs Eggnog Recipe
Eggnog is the ultimate celebratory cocktail, a cozy, rich welcome drink or dessert alternative ~ you can (and should!) make it a day or two ahead!

Cranberry Margaritas
~ Isabel Eats
A Thanksgiving cocktail with a cranberry kick. Because why should we give up our margaritas for the holidays?

Hot Buttered Apple Cider
Hot buttered apple cider is hot buttered rum meets fresh apple cider for warming hands and hearts ~ perfect for warming up your guests the minute they walk through the door.

Honey Roasted Pear Sparkling Cocktail
~ Cotter Crunch
Honey roasted pear puree, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg, and a touch of vanilla ~ oh my!

The Trinidad Sour Cocktail
The Trinidad Sour is a Thanksgiving cocktail with a fascinating story, a gorgeous crimson color, and a bold new taste!

Pumpkin Pie Martini
~ No Spoon Necessary
With a graham cracker-cinnamon-sugar coated rim, a slight dusting of nutmeg and the stick of cinnamon acting as a stirrer, who needs dessert?

Hi Sue! I made the Frozen Turkey recipe for the family and we all LOVED it! Drinks and dessert in one – my kind of holiday ๐ Hope you’re having a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thank you for all you do!
