It’s finally here, my favorite time of year, cozy drink season! I’ll be pouring myself at least one a day from now until spring, thank you.

I love to cradle a steaming hot mug of something delicious in my hands when it’s cold outside ~ it warms me, lowers my blood pressure, and centers me in the here and now. All the other stuff swirling around in my brain fades. It’s what hygge* is all about.
*Hyyge (hoo-geh) is the Danish concept of cosiness ~ it means comfort, happiness… a life in balance. Warm socks are hygge. Candles are hygge. The company of good friends is hygge. Hot drinks are totally hygge!
hot chocolate – the ultimate cozy drink!
I love hot chocolate not only because of the obvious (chocolate!!), but because of how versatile a drink it is. There are so many different styles of hot chocolate, ranging from totally decadent to relatively wholesome, and so many different ways to play with flavors.

mulled drinks
Mulling is an age-old way to infuse beautiful cozy flavor into everything from wine to cider or pomegranate juice. I love using whole spices in the kitchen – it makes for a beautiful and tactile experience that we should all experience at least once in the winter months.

Wow! I’m feeling all comfy cozy just browsing through this list of fabulous drinks! Definitely gets me in the holiday spirit ๐
A great list! I love warm and spiced drinks, perfect for fall/winter!
As a fellow food blogger, although the recipes all look divine, I am utterly jealous of the photography AND all the incredible mugs everyone has! I love it! So so jealous but also happy to see such pretty, tasty pics.
Perfect collection for perfect time of year ! Thank you !
Mmm this is perfect!!!!!!!!! YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t even know where to start with these, they all look so good! But possibly the chai with the white chocolate…I might start there and work my way around. Great list!
happy sipping <3
What a beutiful blog you have. I rarely come across new blogs I really love these days but there is just something so true and lovely here. Also since you start this round up with the danish concept of HYGGE you need to include a glรธgg recipe in this collection. Its the Danish version of mulled vine and we drink it for Christmas (preferably with รbleskiver (=the round danish pancakes)). That is HYGGE.
Thanks again for the lovely peek into your world
You’re so right, I do need a glogg here ~ maybe that should be a future blog post! Thanks for stopping by Marina ๐
Good idea. All my exchange students find it very strong though. But they do like it and they adore รฆbleskiver.
Maybe I can tone it down for my American audience ๐
But you know whats fun. While glรธgg is to strong tasting for al lot of Americans, Danes find the American way of doing “Hot Appel cider” to strong…
How funny!
Oh boy I must try the apple cider! I’m sitting here in flannel with a scarf around my neck wishing I was sipping one of these gorgeous treats. Sharing and pinning!
Oh this is such a timely roundup – perfect for this cold weather! That matcha honey hot choc sounds incredible!
Thanks Bintu, the color of that one is so pretty, I agree!
Wish I were holding one of those heavenly cozy drinks!
You and me both ๐
