Ready to dive into homemade popsicles? These are the best popsicle recipes to kick off your summer freeze-fest!

So you want to make popsicles ~ but where to begin? Which mold to choose? Which recipe to start with? (There are about a bazillion out there.) Donโt worry, Iโve done the legwork and my list of favorite popsicles has you covered from breakfast to cocktail hour and beyond. You can thank me laterโฆ but first, youโve got some serious popsicle shopping to do.
you’ll need a popsicle mold
Probably the most important thing you’re going to need is the right mold. This is the one I use, it’s got a classic ‘popsicle’ shape and will last through many summers’ worth of pops…
my tips for using popsicle molds
I think hard plastic molds in the classic ‘popsicle’ shape are best. Here are a few tips for making the most out of them.
1. Leave a little space
Donโt fill molds to the very topโliquid expands as it freezes. Leave about ยผ inch at the top.
2. Use a funnel or pitcher
For smooth pouring without the mess, use a spouted measuring cup, squeeze bottle, or funnel. This is especially helpful when making my fun striped popsicles.
3. Make a foil top
I don’t use the hard top that comes with these molds because they can be difficult to remove once frozen. I simply cover with a sheet of foil and insert my sticks right through the foil into the molds. This helps with easy removal.
4. To unmold easily
Run warm water over the outside of the mold for 10โ20 seconds ~ donโt twist or yank, just gently pull straight up.

FRUIT POPSICLES
Probably my favorite popsicles of all time, fruit popsicles are made with whole fresh fruit that is pureed. The colors are vivid and the flavor is intense ~ this is summer on a stick!

JUICE POPSICLES
These popsicles are made with juices ~ whether fresh, frozen, or canned. Also lemonades and teas.

Yogurt Popsicles
Yogurt gives popsicles a creamier mouthfeel and a boost of protein.

POPSICLES FOR GROWNUPS
Not all popsicles are for the kiddos, especially when you add things like jalapeรฑo, coffee, or wine!
